    Technical requirements of the cabling system
    As generic cabling services accommodate intelligent complexes, it is particularly essential to ensure the network stability, high-performance operation, reduce network error rate and failure rate. The cabling design should provide technology realization methods on the flexible management.
    PUCAKC’s generic cabling system meet following technical requirements:
    Conform to the newest and most mature international, domestic standards (such as TIA/EIA 568C and ISO/IEC 11801) and new high-bandwidth fiber standards, ensure the high-speed and reliable information transmission of computer network, maintain a high level of flexibility, reliability, integrity and expandability.
    Due to the contradiction between long-term usage of generic cabling system and the constant growth of network technology, the generic cabling design provided by PUCAKC fully considers current and future application prospects, ad
    opts the modularize system, supports high-speed data transmission, catering to future 10G or 40G Ethernet, ensures downsized compatibility and supports the Ethernet, high-speed Ethernet, token ring network, ATM, FDDI, ISDN and other networks and applications.

    • The analysis of network applications
    Due to the rapid development of computer network technologies and applications, we can clearly see the law of development of “Moore’ Law” from 10Mbps,100Mbps,1Gbps to 10Gbps. The network operation speed will increase by an average factor of 10 every five year. In face of the change, each user needs to consider the steady operation and fast updating of its network system.
    Required by the user’s status quo, the design of PUCAKC is mainly directed to the application of computer network. Currently, 10G mainstay of Ethernet and 100M/1G Ethernet-to-desktop are mainly considered for the practical application of the user; the upgrade mode in the following years will be 40G/100G mainstay of Ethernet and 1G/10G Ethernet-to-desktop.

    The generic cabling system is generally composed of six individual subsystem, including working-area subsystem, horizontal subsystem, administration subsystem, backbone subsystem, equipment-room subsystem and cam-pus subsystem. Special transmission technologies consist of twisted-pair and optical fiber.
